About

"There is no greater blessing that can come into our lives than the companionship of the Holy Ghost."

Pres. Spencer W. Kimball

 Pneumatology
The study of the Holy Ghost
Breath ( pneuma) + study (logy)

Welcome! I'm Dr. Lynne Wilson. I love both teaching and studying Theology and American History. At the heart of my academic and personal religious studies is my desire to receive the gift and presence of the Holy Ghost.

Each Sunday, we renew our covenant to:

  • Always remember Jesus Christ

  • Be willing to take His name

  • Strive to keep His commandments

We are reminded that we may always have His spirit to be with us.  President Gordon B. Hinckley taught, "There is no greater blessing that can come into our lives than the companionship of the Holy Ghost." Orson F. Whitney said, "As a member of the God Head, the Holy Ghost  " not only saves, He exalts men to where God and Christ dwell."

That is why my focus and priority when I both teach and publish is to increase the capacity to receive and enjoy the companionship of the Holy Ghost. The focus on the Spirit is a theological study called pneumatology.  Pneumatology comes from two Greek words.

Breath ( pneuma) + Study (logy)

Please join in pneumatological studies. Let's learn, prepare and encourage each other so we may always have His spirit with us.

"Without the presence of the spirit, it is impossible to comprehend our personal mission or to have the reassurance that our course is right.  No mortal comfort can duplicate that of the comforter."

President Sheri L. Dew

"God's greatest gift is eternal life, but that pertains to Eternity. The greatest gift that our Heavenly Father can bestow upon us in time, or while we are here, is the power to lay hold upon eternal life. The everlasting gospel, through obedience to its every requirement, the gift of the Holy Ghost, gives this power.  It not only saves, it exalts men to where God and Christ dwell-- in the fullness of celestial glory."

Elder Orson F. Whitney

Therefore it is given to abide in you;  the record of heaven; the Comforter; the peaceable things of immortal glory; the truth of all things; that which quickeneth all things, which maketh alive all things; that which knoweth all things, and hath all power according to wisdom, mercy, truth, justice, and judgment.

Moses 6:61
